The legislation provides federal funding to a workforce grant program to help alleviate dental workforce shortage issues, according to a July 25 news release from the ADA.
The ADA is asking dental professionals to write to their congressional representatives in support of the act’s reauthorization.
The grant programs are set to expire at the end of the 2023 fiscal year. If extended, the programs would run through 2028.
The act was recently unanimously passed to advance to the House floor by the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
