Oakwood University sophomores selected for the program will receive conditional early admission into the UAB School of Dentistry, according to an Aug. 2 news release.

By providing students from underrepresented areas with a foundation for dental school, the program will aid both schools’ goal of increasing diversity in the dental field and reducing oral care disparities in underserved communities, the release said.
