Ms. Wittich is replacing Scott Farrell, who is retiring after serving as executive director for five years. In addition to her appointment, she will also serve as the executive director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation, which funds research on oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Ms. Wittich first joined AAOMS as manager of the practice management department in 1999, where she worked on the organization’s educational offerings and helped create a data collection registry. She has served as the organization’s associate executive director of practice management and governmental affairs since 2004.
The AAOMS is based in Rosemont, Ill., and represents more than 11,000 oral and maxillofacial surgeons, residents and staff nationwide.
