In February, the FTC accused the dental distribution companies, along with Henry Shein, of conspiring against providing discounts to buying groups. The judge later dismissed the charges against Henry Schein.

A judge publicly ruled Oct. 15 that Benco and Patterson did violate antitrust laws, a decision that has become final because neither party filed a notice of appeal.
