James Standring, DDS, a dental practice in Crescent City, Calif., experienced a data breach that may have affected the information of 6,658 individuals.
The practice began notifying patients in July that their personal information was accessed in a breach that occurred Sept. 2, 2024, according to the HHS Department’s Office for Civil Rights breach portal.
Information that may have been exposed includes names, addresses, email addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial information, medical information and health insurance information.
