The Yomi Robotic Dental System is the only FDA-cleared robot-assisted dental surgery system in the U.S.
Affordable Dental Clinics is led by Stephen Brown, DDS. He began using the robot at his practice in April, according to the Tribune.
Almost 40 patients have undergone the robotic-assisted surgery at the practice, Dr. Brown told the newspaper.
“It’s where the industry is headed,” he said. “There has been surgical robotic surgery in medicine … for a number of years and now it’s worked its way into dentistry. It’s cutting edge.”
