The Missouri Dental Board filed a petition for injunction against the license of a dentist who is charged with first-degree drug trafficking and unlawful use of a weapon, according to an April 24 report from KSN16

John Joseph, DDS, of Joplin, Mo., was arrested in March. The dental board has asked the court to enjoin Dr. Joseph from “engaging in practices which present a substantial probability of serious danger to the health, safety or welfare of any resident.”

The board requested that the court issue both a preliminary and permanent injunction to prohibit Dr. Joseph from practicing dentistry.

A judge had previously determined that there was enough evidence for Dr. Joseph to stand trial. He is scheduled in court in August, the report said.
