Dr. Bill Sasser earns 2024 ADA Humanitarian Award

Bill Sasser, DMD, has received the American Dental Association’s 2024 Humanitarian Award.

Dr. Sasser has served as executive director of Dental Community Fellowship, where he has led or participated in nearly 140 dental mission trips over more than 20 years, according to a news release from the ADA. 

In addition to being executive director of the fellowship, Dr. Sasser founded South Carolina’s North Charleston Dental Outreach clinic, which provides dental care to individuals with limited access due to financial issues. 

The award is given to dentist members who display leadership in the dental industry and use their time and skills to help serve and improve the oral health of underserved populations. 

Dr. Sasser will also receive $10,000 to designate to the charity of his choice, the release said.
