Louisiana dental board revokes license of dentist who closed practice without notice

Tyler Lasseigne, DDS, of Esthetic Associates in Baton Rouge, La., has had his license revoked by the state dental board, according to a May 22 report by CBS affiliate WAFB.

The practice abruptly closed in February without notice, which left patients without dental care and services they had already paid for.

The office then reopened after Dr. Lasseigne said he was recovering from a minor surgery he underwent in December. He also said that he would complete any dental treatment patients had previously paid for.

Dr. Lasseigne did not appeal the board’s decision, the report said.
