Annapolis, Md.-based Center for Transformative Dentistry has integrated new treatment options for patients with temporomandibular joint disorder.
Yasaman Roland, DDS, leader of the practice, is using 360-degree imaging technology and multi-disciplinary insights to find the root cause of TMJ and provide patients care without drugs or surgery, according to a March 31 news release.
Dr. Roland examines the patient’s skeletal structure to identify misalignment or posture issues that are contributing to TMJ.
The non-invasive approach to treatment includes remodeling the jaw and adding structural support to align the muscles.
As many as 40 million Americans are affected by TMJ, the release said.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
