In September, more than 20 people filed class-action lawsuits against the clear aligner company. Now, only two filed notices remain. The lawsuits claimed that SmileDirectClub misled investors when it went public in September.
“We have maintained that there was no merit to these claims being filed in court and these withdrawals are a confirmation of our position,” Susan Greenspon Rammelt, SmileDirectClub’s general counsel, said in a statement, according to the Nashville Post. “We look forward to the rest of this complaint being stricken or dismissed and working with our affiliated network of dentists and orthodontists to serve our customers without distraction.”
