Three Rivers Dental Group contends that former patient Robert Ottaviani made a series of untruthful remarks about the practice and the dental care he received in a Facebook post on May 20.
The Facebook post allegedly suggested Three Rivers Dental Group was under investigation for unethical and fraudulent acts, according to the lawsuit. Three Rivers Dental Group claims the patient made edits to the post and other comments on other online forums that also had false and damaging information.
The false post allegedly continued through June 4, Three Rivers Dental Group says.
Three Rivers Dental Group is seeking unspecified monetary damages and is asking a judge to order Mr. Ottaviani to remove the posts, the Tribune-Review reports.
