Scammers target Iowa dentists

The Iowa Dental Board has been notified about scammers targeting dentists, reports KCIM radio station, part of Carroll Broadcasting Company.

The state board said licensees have reported an individual calling and identifying themself as a board investigator or a staff member. The scammers’ phone number appears to originate from the board’s offices.

The Iowa Dental Board is reminding all practices that it will never call and demand money or use high-pressure tactics to obtain information.
