Dr. White’s arraignment took six minutes. He will remain in custody until his trial, which was set for April 5.
On Feb. 10, Dr. White was indicted by a federal grand jury on all three charges. A federal judge denied the dentist’s request for release Jan. 25 after an eighth potential victim came forward. A detective said they’ve received many tips regarding more potential victims and are still gathering information, according to KCBD.
According to CBS affiliate KLBK-TV, a restraining order was filed Feb. 12 to prevent Dr. White from disposing of his house, apartment, 966-acre ranch and $35,000 before the trial. The indictment calls for the dentist to forfeit his property to the federal government if convicted.
