The funds will be used to provide financial support for preventive care to dental patients in underserved communities across El Paso, Texas and Southern New Mexico, according to a March 6 news release from the university.
Many communities in Western Texas and New Mexico are unable to access dental care due to financial barriers and a lack of providers, the release said.
A surgical suite at the Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic will be named after the dental group.
The dental school has provided care to more than 5,000 patients and more than 7,100 hours of clinical care since opening in 2021, the release said.
