As part of the settlement, Dr. Kim must pay a $5,000 fine and reimburse the commission $2,335.12, according to a Dec. 5 news release from the Washington State Department of Health.

In addition, Dr. Kim will be subject to two unannounced infection control inspections each year for two years. He must also contract with an outside vendor to manage infection control in his office and complete 30 hours of continuing education on infection control and emergency management.

Dr. Kim failed an unannounced infection control inspection in November 2021 as part of an earlier order, the release said.
