Morgantown-based West Virginia School of Dentistry cut the ribbon on a new clinical space, according to an Aug. 19 report from MetroNews.
The renovation adds four new dental clinics, which include orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, a dental innovation center and the school’s dental group practice.
The upgrades were funded by a $12.6 million Congressionally Directed Spending award in fiscal year 2024, and a $15 million CDS award in fiscal year 26, according to an Aug. 19 news release from U.S. Senator Shelley Capito.
The second phase of the dental school upgrades are scheduled to be completed by 2028, the report said.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
