Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental provided more than 220 community members free digital oral health scans, according to the Effingham Daily News.

1. The free oral health exams were part of the dental service organization's Scan the 'Ham event.
2. Scan the 'Ham was a two-day event where Heartland Dental dentists provided free scans using the iTero Element intraoral scanner.
3. Heartland Dental's 2018 goal is to have 90 percent of their offices using the iTero Element scanner. . Currently, more than 700 of its 800-plus supported offices have installed the scanner.
