PE firm invests in dental group to form new DSO: 3 things to know

Private equity fund MBF Healthcare Partners invested in Austin, Texas-based Rose Dental. In doing so, the two firms created a dental service organization.

Here are three things to know:

1. Strive Dental Management, the newly formed DSO, will be run by MBF’s Operating Executive Mike Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn is the former COO of Wakefield, Mass.-based American Dental Partners.

2. Rollin Sarradet, DDS, and Sergio Escobar, DDS, founded Rose Dental in 1995. Today, the dental group comprises more than 40 dentists and hygienists.

3. Starting with a base in Texas, Rose Dental and MBF are looking to expand Strive Dental Management throughout the U.S.
