Irvine, Calif.-based Western Dental has appointed Alex Park as chief credit officer.
Mr. Park has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. As former senior vice president of consumer credit for Bank of America, he created and managed a net credit loss management group. He also developed a credit risk management department for Fremont Investment & Loan.
Mr. Park led many initiatives, like developing methods for predicting portfolio performance, at Green Tree. He also served as HSBC's senior risk manager, where he designed and implemented credit risk processes for developing and launching new products.
Mr. Park has a masters degree in finance and marketing from Chicago Graduate School of Business. He spent his undergraduate at Columbia (Ill.) University. He is a Navy veteran and received the Navy Achievement Medal for leadership and professional achievement.
