17-practice Arkansas DSO gets equity investment

Jonesboro, Ark.-based GPS Dental received an investment from tailored debt and equity capital company The Firmament Group, according to a Jan. 19 news release.

GPS Dental manages 17 practices across Arkansas, Indiana and Tennessee, the release said. The investment will support the DSO’s growth strategy in the South and Midwest.

GPS Dental co-operator Hunter Smith, DDS, said the investment will support the practice’s growth strategy building and acquiring practicces in the south and midwest, the release said.

“The uncertain lending and financial climate made it a priority that we find the right partner to support our business as we scale,” Dr. Hunter said in the release.
