Aspen Dental partnered with the Dental Assisting National Board and its affiliate organization, the Dale Foundation, to invest in dental radiography training and credentials for dental assistants in the Aspen Dental network.
In most states, dental assistants are required to complete a state-approved course, participate in hands-on training and register through the state dental board to perform dental radiology procedures, according to an April 28 news release.
The DANB Radiation Health and Safety exam is an industry standard in more than 30 states and will allow dental assistants in the Aspen Dental network to meet state radiography requirements.
To help dental assistants prepare for the DANB Radiation Health and Safety exam, the Dale Foundation provides interactive e-learning courses and resources to help dental assistants learn the fundamentals of dental radiography.
