Great Neck, N.Y.-based The Smilist hit a major network milestone more than a year after it closed on a $285 million unitranche debt facility to continue its expansion last April.
Here are four updates from the DSO in 2025, starting with the most recent:
1. A dental practice located in Elkins Park, Pa., operated by The Smilist, was listed on the market for $1.76 million.
2. The DSO affiliated with BrookBeam Dental and surpassed 100 offices.
3. Axel Lapica was appointed the company’s next CEO.
4. The Smilist affiliated with Inspire Dental Group, a multispecialty practice with three locations in New York.
