From acquisitions to industry partnerships, here are 12 notable DSO deals that have taken place in the last three months:
- Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance affiliated with East Village Dental Centre of Chicago, its 50th Midwest office.
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Premier Care Dental Management reached 115 offices after acquiring North Shore Implant & Oral Surgery Associates. It also added its first practice in New Hampshire.
- Four Corners Property Trust, a real estate investment trust, acquired an Aspen Dental property in New Mexico for $1.9 million. It also purchased a Heartland Dental property in South Carolina for $2.2 million.
- Reno, Nev.-based Bluetree Dental received a $32 million investment from private equity firm Clairvest Group.
- Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services and the Workman School of Dental Medicine at High Point (N.C.) University partnered to implement the Epic electronic health record system at the university.
- Pacific Dental Services invested in RevBio to support clinical trials of a bone adhesive biomaterial for implant dentistry.
- Oakpoint hit 40 practices after partnering with a multi-office practice.
- Private equity firm HGGC invested in Dentive, a DSO primarily serving dental practices on the West Coast.
- Dental Care Alliance was acquired by Mubadala Investment Co., a sovereign investor based in the United Arab Emirates.
- Carmel, Ind.-based Vista Verde Dental Partners opened its first Britely Dentures + Implants office in Texas.
