Here are seven DSO milestones that took place during the first three months of 2023:
1. Los Angeles-based Our Best Life Companies, a dental management organization, expanded into Indiana, its second state.
2. Dallas-based Beacon Oral Specialists added its first Florida practice by affiliating with South Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
3. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Premier Care Dental Management acquired Dental Designs of New England, its first practice in New Hampshire. It also reached 115 offices after acquiring North Shore Implant & Oral Surgery Associates.
4. Carmel, Ind.-based Vista Verde Dental Partners opened its first Britely Dentures + Implants office in Texas.
5. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance surpassed 400 practices. It also affiliated with East Village Dental Centre of Chicago, its 50th Midwest office.
6. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services and the Workman School of Dental Medicine at High Point (N.C.) University partnered to implement the Epic electronic health record system at the university. The partnership marks the first between a DSO and dental school through Epic's Community Connect program.
7. Oakpoint hit 40 practices after partnering with a multi-office practice.
