The funds are being given to 18 students in Florida, with each student receiving $1,000, according to a June 20 news release.
The scholarship fund was created to support future dental hygienists in Florida. In order to qualify, students must be enrolled in a dental hygiene program at a school in Florida, have at least a 3.2 GPA and complete the application form with two essays, the release said.
