Dentists from Aspen Dental will serve as adjunct professors and mentoring clinicians in the school’s clinical externship rotation starting in the fall semester, according to a June 22 news release.

Students will complete at least six weeks of rotations at six different dental practice models, providing students with hands-on, clinical experience.

Aspen Dental is part of similar programs at the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor.

Since 2018, 52 students from UCLA and the University of Michigan have participated in the program at an Aspen Dental office. The program in the fall semester is expected to include 60 students across the three universities, the release said.
