Only affiliated practices are eligible for certification, but not all that apply will receive it, according to Richard Hall, USOSM’s president and CEO. Practices interested in certification must apply and meet other eligibility requirements, including those covering leadership, best practices and training.

Practices must also pass an inspection and receive approval from the company’s clinical governance board, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. Certified practices will go through an accreditation process and continue to be overseen by a third party to ensure quality control.

USOSM is an oral surgery-focused management services organization supporting practices in 26 states.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence. Apply for complimentary registration now.
