Pacific Dental Services Foundation gives out $100K to dental assistant students

The Pacific Dental Services Foundation awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to dental assisting students.

The scholarships were granted to 24 students to cover tuition expenses as well as provide mentorship and on-the-job training, according to a Dec. 12 news release shared with Becker’s.

Each quarter, the foundation’s Scholarship Review Committee awards scholarships to applicants based on financial need, heart for service, career aspirations and other criteria. 

Since 2016, the foundation has given out more than $1.5 million in scholarships to more than 260 students in the dental field, the release said.
