Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental was recently ranked among America’s best-in-state employers by Forbes.
To create the “Best employers by state” list, released Aug. 13, Forbes partnered with Statista to survey more than 245,000 employees from all 50 states who work for companies with at least 500 people in the U.S. Employees were surveyed on how likely they were to recommend their employer and were asked to assess their workplace based on criteria such as wages and benefits, management style, company reputation, flexibility and career advancement opportunities.
Responses from the survey were incorporated into a scoring system, along with survey data from the past three years. Companies that received the highest scores in each state made the final lists. A total of 1,365 employers made at least one of the final state lists, including 346 healthcare companies.
Heartland Dental is the only dental provider on the list, landing the No. 32 spot for the Illinois list.
