Here is how 13 DSOs have expanded in these states in recent months:
California
1. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health opened offices in Westminster, Monterey Park, Palm Springs, Riverside, Concord, Lakeside, Walnut Creek, El Monte and Lathrop.
2. Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened a location in Merced.
Connecticut
1. Houston-based Specialty1 Partners entered a joint venture partnership with Greater Waterbury (Conn.) Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Florida
1. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health opened offices in Bonita Beach, Clermont, Doral and Orlando.
2. Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental opened offices in Dunedin, Clermont and Haines City. It also acquired nine practices in Florida from Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry.
3. Boynton Beach, Fla.-based EKOS Dental Group opened Modern Dentists of Deltona Lakes.
4. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental added offices in Venice, Palm Bay, Titusville, Saint Augustine, Middleton, Middleburg, Vero Beach, Winter Garden, Coral Springs and Jensen Beach.
5. Orlando, Fla.-based Operation Dental acquired two dental practices in the Florida panhandle region.
6. Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened a location in Punta Gorda.
7. Little Rock, Ark.-based Rock Dental Brands partnered with TLC Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Tampa.
Illinois
1. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental added an office in Tinley Park.
2. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners affiliated with Eric N. Bloom, DDS, Family and Implant Dentistry in Glenview.
3. Phoenix-based SALT Dental Partners added its first practice in Illinois during the third quarter.
Indiana
1. Phoenix-based SALT Dental Partners added its first practice in Indiana during the third quarter.
Massachusetts
1. Danbury, Conn.-based Archway Dental Partners added its first practice in Massachusetts.
2. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health opened an office in Dedham.
Ohio
1. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health opened an office in Pickerington.
2. Nashville, Tenn.-based Chord Specialty Dental Partners expanded its network into Ohio with the addition of two pediatric dental practices.
3. Detroit-based Seva Dental Team added Meister Dental Group in Harrison.
4. Houston-based Specialty1 Partners added a joint venture partnership with Periodontal Associates, which has two locations in Ohio.
