MB2 Dental’s 3-year growth recap: 17 moves

Dallas-based MB2 Dental has passed several growth milestones in the last few years as one of the largest dental organizations in the U.S. 

Here are 17 notable moves from the company since 2023:

2026

1. MB2 Dental added partners in California, Florida, North Carolina, Colorado and New Jersey.

2025

1. The DSO added 60 partner practices and four de novo locations, reaching 800 practices in September. 

2. The company added its first office in Hawaii, expanding its footprint to 45 states.

3. MB2 Dental launched Carabelli Club in June, an affiliate program for dentists designed after its partnership model.

4. PitchBook ranked MB2 Dental among the most acquisitive private equity-backed DSOs since 2021.

5. The company was included on the Inc. Regionals 2025 list based on its percentage revenue growth from 2021 to 2023.

2024

1. MB2 Dental added 108 practices to its network.

2. MB2 Dental expanded into Iowa, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Vermont and West Virginia.

3. In February, the company received $2.3 billion in unitranche debt financing.

4. In November, MB2 earned a $525 million investment, marking the company’s third recapitalization event in seven years. 

5. The company launched MB2U, a program that trains associate dentists to transition into practice owners.

6. The DPO expanded its headquarters with a 16,000-square-foot building, and plans to add a third building in early 2025.

7. MB2 Dental was named a winner of two Stevie Awards and a winner in D CEO’s 2024 Mergers and Acquisitions Awards program.

2023

1. The DPO added 163 new practices, including 150 new partnerships and 13 de novo locations.

2. The DSO added 115 central service employees, reaching 500 total support service employees at the end of 2023.

3. MB2 Dental launched Cerebro, its own intranet platform, to streamline communications between doctors and employees.

4. The company secured a delayed-draw term loan of $150 million and raised $20 million through an internal investment fundraiser from its doctor partners. The funds will be used to continue expanding its network through practice acquisitions.
