Three notes:

1. PDS Health Founder and CEO Stephen Thorne IV said Oct. 31 that hygienists play a key role in helping patients understand the link between oral health and overall health, which can lead to better patient outcomes.

2. PDS Health said its hygienists are delivering advanced care at practices throughout its network, including by performing comprehensive health history assessments and reviewing patients medical and laboratory histories through the Epic shared health records system.

3. The DSO also provides specialized training to help hygienists in certain states learn how to use dental lasers to treat bacteria embedded in gum tissue.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
