DSOs have seen price increases ranging between 9% and 20% across a variety of product categories over the last several years, according to Dentira’s Dental Spend Index.
Dentira launched the semiannual index Nov. 2 as the first dental spend benchmark built on procurement data from 267 DSOs in the U.S., according to a news release from the company.
Here is the cumulative price change for 10 product categories since 2021:
1. Labels and signs: +20.1%
2. Disposables: +15.8%
3. Education: +15.8%
4. Evacuation products: +15.8%
5. Office supplies: +15.2%
6. Equipment: +14.4%
7. Anesthetics: +11%
8. Uniforms and work wear: +10.5%
9. Acrylics and relines: +10.3%
10. Surgical and implant products: +9.9%
