12 dental leadership moves in August

Here are 12 recent leadership appointments in the dental industry since June:

  2. The Association of Dental Support Organizations appointed Gray McGinnis as vice president of government relations.
  3. Camp Hill, Pa.-based Progressive Dental Concepts added Stephen Canis, DMD, as chief dental officer.
  4. Delta Dental of Arizona appointed Michael Jones president and CEO.
  5. Orthodontic Partners promoted Peter Kosenko to CFO.
  6. Delta Dental of Arkansas selected Kristin Merlo as its next president and CEO.
  7. The American Dental Association added Elizabeth Shapiro, DDS, as chief of governance and strategy management.
  8. The New York Dental Association appointed Kevin Henner, DMD, as president; James Galati, DDS, as president-elect; Anthony Cuomo, DDS, as vice president; and Frank Barnashuk, DDS, as secretary-treasurer.
  9. Biolase recently added three dental industry leaders to its board of directors.
  10. Penn Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia named Michael Glick, DMD, director of its new Center for Integrative Global Oral Health.
  11. LightForce Orthodontics added Kelly Cunning Riedel as COO.
  12. Sonendo appointed Michael Smith as chief commercial officer.
