1. Nader Nadershahi, DDS, resigned as dean of San Francisco-based Dugoni School of Dentistry of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.

Last month, the school’s board of regents received a letter from members of the school of dentistry about concerns with the university’s leadership, leading to Dr. Nadershahi’s resignation announcement.

The board immediately began a 10-day investigation into the concerns, but found no violations of policy or law, according to the outlet.

2. Matthew Bistan, DDS, was appointed as chair of the Dental and Dental Hygienist Compact Commission.

Dr. Bistan is a member of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services Dentistry Examining Board. He is also a partner at Signature Dental in Sheboygan, Wis.

Dr. Bistan was elected to his role during the commission’s January meeting.
