William Giannobile, DDS, dean of the dental school, said that Dr. Coleman’s work in the role did not match his standards.

Dr. Coleman, who took over the DEI office in July 2022, was fired from the role in December.

The dental school has not launched a search for a new assistant dean.

Dr. Coleman is still listed as a full-time faculty member at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
