ADA names new senior vice president

The American Dental Association has appointed Nader Nadershahi, DDS, EdD, to serve as senior vice president of education and professional affairs. 

In the role, Dr. Nadershahi will direct the organization’s educational affairs, including policy decisions related to accreditation of programs, dental education policy, licensure and testing services and continuing education provider recognition, according to a June 18 news release from the ADA. 

Dr. Nadershahi has nearly 30 years of experience in dental education, organized dentistry and clinical practice. He previously served as dean of University of the Pacific’s Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and vice provost of the San Francisco campus.

He has also held leadership positions within the ADA, American Dental Education Association and California Dental Association, the release said.
