Columbia University dental school dean steps down

Christian Stohler, DMD, is stepping down as dean of the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and senior vice president of the Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Stohler has served as dean of the college since 2013, according to a Dec. 13 news release. Under his leadership, the college opened its Center for Precision Dental Medicine and established its Center for Dental and Craniofacial Research.

Roseanna Graham, DDS, PhD, will serve as interim dean once Dr. Stohler’s tenure ends Dec. 31. Dr. Graham is currently chair of cariology and restorative sciences and director of the school’s division of operative dentistry.
