Mr. Ballard joined the company in 2015, serving as CFO. In 2022, he was promoted to president, according to a Jan. 3 news release from Delta Dental of Tennessee.
In his previous roles at the company, Mr. Ballard led Delta Dental of Tennessee’s expansion of business offerings into vision insurance and has overseen accounting, finance, risk management, sales and underwriting.
Phil Wenk, DDS, served as CEO of Delta Dental of Tennessee from 2000 to 2023 and president until 2022.
Mr. Ballard took over as CEO on Jan. 1.
Delta Dental of Tennessee is the largest independent dental benefits carrier in the state, the release said.
