Former Philips exec joins Align Technology as executive VP, managing director of iTero scanner business

Align Technology recently appointed Karim Boussebaa executive vice president and managing director of its iTero scanner and services business.

Mr. Boussebaa will replace Yuval Shaked, who is stepping down from the company after nearly six years for personal reasons, according to a Feb. 8 news release. Mr. Shaked will continue to support the company with strategic initiatives through 2023. 

Mr. Boussebaa previously spent about 12 years overseeing various business units and technologies with Philips in the U.S. and the Netherlands. He most recently served as senior vice president and business leader of Philips Image Guided Therapy Systems. He also spent nearly a decade in various leadership roles at GE healthcare.

Mr. Boussebaa will step into his new role Feb. 27.
