Henry Schein appoints new CEO

Dental supply company Henry Schein has named Frederick Lowery as its next CEO. 

Mr. Lowery has more than two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently serving as executive vice president and president, Laboratory Products and BioProduction at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a life sciences company, according to a Jan. 12 news release from Henry Schein. 

He will succeed Stanley Bergman, who has served as the company’s CEO for 35 years. Mr. Bergman will continue to serve as chairman of the board to help with the transition. 

Mr. Lowery will take over as CEO and join the board of directors on March 2, the release said.
