University of Louisville dental school dean appointed provost

Dr. Gerry Bradley, dean of the University of Louisville (Ky.) School of Dentistry, was recently appointed executive vice president and provost of the university.

Dr. Bradley has served as the dental school dean since 2016 and interim provost since January 2023, according to a Feb. 7 news release. 

The university credited Dr. Bradley for stabilizing the dental school’s financial position and expanding the school’s services with the opening of several dental clinics.

Before joining the University of Louisville in 2016, Dr. Bradley served as chair and professor of developmental sciences at the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee. He also operated an orthodontic practice in Wisconsin.

He has been involved in clinical testing and has authored more than 50 publications, with his work focused on biomaterials used in orthodontics.
