Dentsply settles with DC, Carestream comes to Illinois hospital & more – 8 dental company key notes

Here are eight key notes on dental companies for Thursday, April 2nd. 

Dentsply International reached a settlement agreement with DC Dental after Dentsply challenged DC Dental's unauthorized distribution of Dentsply products.

 

Henry Schein had its "hold" stock market rating reissued by Zacks.

St. Mary's Hospital in Illinois upgraded two X-ray rooms and one mobile X-ray imaging system to wireless DR technology using the Carestream DRX-1 Systems and Carestream DRX-Mobile Retrofit Kits.

Danaher will webcast its quarterly earnings conference call on April 23. As of April 1, the company's weekly performance is down 1.04 percent.

On March 30, traders acquired 7,382 put options on 3M stock, an increase of 276 percent compared to the average daily volume of 1,965.

Patterson Companies saw significant growth in short interest in the month of March. "As of March 13th, there was short interest totaling 6,649,513 shares, a growth of 33.4 percent from the Feb. 27 total of 4,984,360 shares."

Heartland Dental founder and CEO Richard E. Workman donated $6 million to the Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex in Effingham, Ill., which includes a pool, fitness center and space to rent for occupational therapy.

Aspen Dental will open five new locations in Arkansas throughout this year.
