Aspen Dental adds Texas office to combat dental care shortage: 3 observations

Aspen Dental opened a new office in San Antonio to help combat the dental health professional shortage.

Here are three observations:

1. The new office will be run by Sandra Rodriguez, DDS. She and her team will provide various services including dentures, denture repairs, preventive care, general dentistry and restoration.

2. This is one of 25 Aspen Dental practices located in Texas, where 151 of the 254 counties are designated as dental health professional shortage areas by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

3. A study by Syracuse (N.Y.) University's Whitman School of Management, each new Aspen Dental practice supports local community growth by brining more than $1.3 million in positive economic impact through job creation and capital investment.
