Biolase named John Beaver CFO and senior vice president, effective Oct. 1, 2017.
Here are five insights:
1. Prior to joining Biolase, Mr. Beaver served as CFO of Silicor Materials, a leader in the production of solar silicon. He also served on its board of directors from 2013 to 2015.
2. During his time at Silicor Materials, Mr. Beaver led debt and equity fundraising efforts to finance the company's transition from start-up to commercial production. He developed and implemented many of the company's business processes.
3. Mr. Beaver also served as CFO of Modumetal, a nano-laminated alloy coatings company focused on oil and gas applications. There he led efforts to raise more than $50 million in debt and equity.
4. Mr. Beaver has held senior finance management positions at Pioneer Companies, Borden Chemicals, Plastics and Sterling Chemicals.
5. Biolase has sold approximately 34,900 laser systems to date in over 90 countries around the world.
