The CDA had urged Delta to reevaluate the proposed fee reductions since they were first announced last February, not only due to the pandemic but because the CDA believed the reductions were based on invalid and insufficient data and would violate Delta’s duties under its contracts with providers.
Delta Dental of California’s proposed reductions to the maximum allowable fees would have taken effect July 1 for about 2,200 endodontists, periodontists and oral surgeons. Now, the fee reductions are indefinitely postponed.
