Over a 10-month pilot program, NovoHealth Dental reviewed more than 120,000 dental insurance claims and clinicians agreed with the AI’s denial recommendations more than 86% of the time, according to a Sept. 12 news release.
In a separate study, dental clinicians agreed with the dental AI programs 84% of the time.
NovoHealthDental pre-sorts claims that clinicians will need to review, do not meet clinical guidelines, do not have proper documentation and claims that have been submitted with large errors.
The program allows providers and payers to reduce administrative time spent on reviewing claims and allow patients to make more informed decisions on treatment options, the release said.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
