Ohio dentist sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to tax evasion

Jeffrey Blanford, DDS, of Blanford Dental Center in Lima, Ohio, was sentenced to six months in prison after being convicted in a $1.7 million tax evasion scheme, according to limaohio.com.

In 2019, investigators learned Dr. Blanford underreported his taxable income from 2013-15 by more than $1.7 million.

Dr. Blanford will serve half a year in prison and will be under supervised release for two years. He was also fined $100 and has to pay $927,273.44 in restitution to the IRS.
