United Concordia lands $3B+ coverage contract with Department of Defense

United Concordia recently gained a five-year contract with the Department of Defense to administer its TRICARE Dental Program.

United Concordia has administered TRICARE’s Active Duty Dental Program since the program started in 2009. 

The TRICARE Dental Program offers coverage to nearly 1.8 million individuals, according to an Oct. 23 news release. Coverage includes diagnostic, preventive and restorative services, as well as comprehensive specialty coverage.

The new $3 billion contract goes into effect Dec. 1, 2024.
